Privacy notice (NDPA 2023)

Who we are: Moonfaced Autos is the data controller for the information collected on this form.
Why we collect it: For verifying your identity and the source of funds for a vehicle purchase, as required under Nigeria's Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022 and SCUML reporting obligations for dealers in motor vehicles.
Lawful basis: Compliance with a legal obligation, and your consent, under the Nigeria Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect: Your identity details, a means of identification, bank account details and source-of-funds information, and the documents you upload.
How we protect it: Data is transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored encrypted at rest. Access is limited to authorised compliance personnel.
How long we keep it: For 5 years after the transaction, as required by anti-money-laundering record-keeping rules, after which it is securely deleted.
Your rights: You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data (subject to our legal retention duty), and you may lodge a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. Contact us at compliance@moonfacedautos.com.
No third-party sharing: We do not sell your data. It is shared only with regulators (e.g. SCUML) where the law requires it.
